Other Peoples' Stuff

This section can be used by other GPL fans who have stuff they want on the web but do not have web space.

Philippe Charuest has made skins for the Matra V12, there are 2 versions one for the Eagle and one for the Honda. The files just replace the default number 4 mips in either the Honda or Eagle, both mips are included in the file, and to use them just unzip to either the eagle or murasama folder depending on which car you wish to drive. Here is a new shinier skin for the Matra of Philippe Charuest. Instructions in zip, to download just click on the picture above.

Here are no glare red steering wheels for the Lotus and BRM, made from my original red wheels by Stewart Fisher. The red wheel is for the GPLSF BRM to use it in the Lo67 BRM just rename it to sterbrm.mip. Instructions in zip, to download just click on the picture above.

Here are 2 sets of cars by Nick Winters, 1 for Spa and 1 for the Ring, these carsets put the correct cars numbers on the correct cars for that extra bit of historical accuracy.  I suggest before you install either of these sets you back up your driver.ini files and all your car folders. To download just click on the picture of the set you require (top one Spa, bottom the Ring), the files include the cars driver.ini file and a short text instructions.

 

Here is a new roll bar for the Eagle, this one is by Pedro Johansson (he who made the 3D eagle wheels and posted the photos that we are all using to edit the cars). Instructions in zip, to download just click on the picture above.

 

This file has been updated; This version gives a better colour rendition between the car body and engine. Improved gearbox based on photographs from Coy's. The Repaint of the Eagle by Loyd Cole, represents the early Model with the covered engine (the correct one for my chrome exhausts). The zip no longer contains bitmaps, all files are now included as mips.  Includes mips for the engine with mesh over the carbs,  for Gurney's car and the no. 4 car, and now includes mips for Macleran's car and full engine covers. These files do not have a readme and where sent for my own use, I just thought they where to good to keep to myself so please do not bug me if you do not know how to use them, but as a clue; try the eagle directory :o). Here are a couple more car skins; a Matra and a Lotus Indy. Both cars include new 3dos (to get rid of the green bits), the Matra includes a pit board and Dunlop wheel textures. Here are some interesting car skins by Nedo Radulovic, for those who find it boring to see only green & red cars around ;) They are made mainly for online racing as they do not change the colour of the AI cars. to download just click on either of the 2 pictures.

Here is another fix by Zaf, this time it is the problem with the GPLEA Lotus that caused the wrong texture to be shown on the rear left tyre (as above, fixed one on right). To download click on the picture to go to the download page.

Another car for your delectation, this one is by Keir. It allows you to drive a Delaney Racing Ferrari. As usual click on the picture to go to the download page and unzip the file to your Ferrari directory BACK UP YOUR FER4.MIP first in case you do not like the car. then select Ferrari as your team and you will be driving this car.

Here are some inserts for your SCGT jewel case.  They have been made by Bill Guillaume a.k.a. bgracing, Bill has kindly consented to allow me to pass them on to others.  To use these inserts just click on the required picture, this will take you to a full size printable version that can be saved by right clicking on it, then using any photo program to print it, cut out picture then just slip it into your SCGT jewel case, and there you go.

Here are map and event pages for Imola created by Dr Mark Ide. mark has based these on a scanned map from a 1985 annual, but without the offensive (!) chicanes. As a bonus this pack contains a modified track.ini file showing the correct number of corners.
